A Poll:

Should Pixie
a) Dye her hair red again.
b) Dye her hair back to blonde.
c) None of the above, or some other suggestion.

Please answer seriously in the comments section or the guestbook. Thank you all!

***

Also, I am leaving tonight and will be back Sunday afternoon sometime. If something is desperately important, leave a message at my house and it should be able to get to me. Other than that, email me and I'll answer stuff when I get home. Cheerio!

Meme, meme, meme, meme...

Ten Reasons You Wouldn't Want To Live With Me
1. I don't like watching tv with other people. It has, and will, give me anxiety attacks.
2. My laundry skills, while existant, do not guarantee the safety of your clothing.
3. I'm a pack rat... majorly.
4. I don't eat purple. Or beans. Or breakfast. And I'm not overly fond of protein.
5. I am violent when provoked.
6. One word - p.r.o.c.r.a.s.t.i.n.a.t.o.r.
7. Also, I tend to be sort of obssesive compulsive about cleaning.
8. I don't make decisions well... or at all, usually.
9. I'm a klutz and tend to injure myself frequently.
10. I spend far too much time on my computer filling out stupid surveys.

I often think that it really is for the best that people cannot see what goes on backstage at shows. It is really for the best that they don't see the panicked looks on our faces, as we try desperately to figure out what's going on. They don't see us sniping at each other - not really 'cuz we're annoyed, but because we're so stressed. They don't see the looks of anguish on our faces as our children stare blankly into the audience, not knowing what to do. They don't see our pained expressions at the horrible horrible acting of the older kids. They don't see us losing props, costumes, and even performers.

What they get to see is it all work out. And, even if it doesn't work out, they don't, for the most part, know that. They see the calm, confident "Oh, that's just the way I planned it," side of us. And I think this is for the best.

That said, my kids were absolutely fantastic tonight. I'm so proud of them. Even if they amused the audience a great deal with their huddling around the microphone, and spinning around the stage. And I got a thank-you card and a present from one, and lots of hugs and thank yous. I felt really good about it.

Mmmm, sometimes I like my job. One more session to go...

Walking around with my backpack on today, I could hear my little bell somewhere inside of it going jingle jingle jingle. Reminded of something I read a long time ago. A certain disorder, craziness thing that manifested in hearing a jingling bell sound. Made me laugh.

The world continues to turn today. Well, most of it does. Some parts of it don't bother. They just watch the other parts whirling and whirling and they laugh. "You know," they say, "If something important comes along, you're going to have used up all your energy turning, and won't be able to deal with it." The turning bits think about responding, but they are too busy concentrating on their turns. Four million and one, four million and two, four million and three...

Have a callback on Tuesday for "A Chorus Line." I get to read and sing for Val and sing for Maggie. Whee. Well, I should go get ready for Capoeira, I suppose.

It's pretty out today. Warm, and slightly windy. Summer's coming. So long, winter....

Last night I dreamed of:

- Star being a drug addict.
- The discovery of this coming ((pun intended)) because of Star getting oral sex ((no, I won't say from whom)).
- Lightswitches.
- The Famous Five.
- Playgrounds.
- The furnace cleaning people not showing up.
- Drama headshots that were old pictures with our heads superimposed overtop.
- Being out of water, again.
- Cats. Lots of them. They may even have had dreadlocks.
- A house. Mine. My own. My precious.
